Can Toys Help Your Child Grow Up Successful?
Toys play a vital role in a child’s development – from the time they are just babies right until they reach adolescence.
It is vital that we realize that toys are not only for fun, but valuable and important qualities can be learnt through playing with toys. During a baby’s development, the baby begins to learn to explore the vast world around them. As part of this important process babies will heighten their senses in touch, hearing, sight, smell and taste. Toys such as Fisher Price Brilliant Babies First Block can encourage and stimulate the baby by testing their judgment by fitting blocks into different sections. Musical toys will improve their sense of hearing as he/she pushes different buttons to hear an associated sound. Lifelong qualities will be obtained by developing the baby’s senses at an early age will give them a head start in childhood and further in life.
Upon reaching toddler years, that is where the child’s senses will develop and improve dramatically. Toddlers now can recognize a wider range of symbols and letters, therefore different toys are needed to further develop their senses. With its bright colours and the three different fun activities, the toddler will not be able to put the Vtech write and learn letter pad down. Purchasing these type of toys for your children will allow them to have a lot of fun but more importantly, the toddler will desire to learn more.
In the future, the child will start school and will most likely interact with different children. The importance of teamwork, creativity and imagination will now be realized in a child’s development. It is best to provide kids with toys which will engage the children in social activity such as board games; nurture their skills in creativity and imagination through toys like Lego and toy dolls; and develop their mind with games like trivial pursuit. There is a positive advantage for developing these skills early in a child as possessing these types of skills is a great advantage for the child’s education as well as future careers.
As the child reaches adolescence, it is common to assume that there are no toys suitable for them, but in fact there are plenty. Nowadays, there are plenty of game consoles, board games, gadgets, crafts, and other ‘cool’ electronic toys that is sure to provide them heaps of entertainment while keeping their minds active.
