Adult Learning Games

What are some good PS2 games for adults over 30?
Yeah, I have a job and not all day to learn a bunch of moves and nerdy stuff. What’s a good PS2 game where I can cut to the chase? I already have Madden and some boxing game.
Ratchet & Clank (any of them) – platformer with lots of weapons, and isn’t too hard.
Burnout (any of them) – racing game where you earn points by smashing into your opponents causing giant pile-ups and explosions. Especially fun after a bad day’s commute.
Katamari Damacy (strange, simple, addictive) – your father, king of the cosmos, has destroyed all the stars in the sky. You must make new ones by pushing your sticky ball, called a katamari, around on Earth picking up everything from pushpins, to entire continents. Throw in a catchy soundtrack, and you’ve got one of the best games for the PS2.
Dynasty Warriors (my favorite is 5, but any of them are good) – Play one of 60 different warriors from from China’s feudal period as you try to unite all of China under one ruler. You’re but a single warrior on the field with 1000s of others. Fight your way through the masses to take out the enemy commanders. As your character becomes stronger and stronger, the battles begin to resemble something from those bad kung-fu movies they used to show on TV. The combat system is easy to pick up, if repetitive. Still, after a hard day at work, it’s nice to come home, wade into a crowd of foot soldiers, and send 100s of them flying into the air with a single blow from my spear!
Beyond Good & Evil – (adventure/platformer) You are Jade, an investigative reporter on an alien world. People are disappearing, and the so-called police seem to be at the center of the conspiracy!
Psychonauts (adventure/platformer) – you play a kid at summer camp…but this isn’t your typical summer camp. This is a camp for psychics. As you develop your powers, you’ll have to “dive” into different peoples’ heads in order to solve puzzles and rescue your kidnapped campers. Very original and amusing.
Grand Theft Auto (3 & Vice City) – You’re a criminal punk out for revenge. Run around the city picking up different missions at will. Some require you to transport something, others may ask you to whack someone. Steal a car and get going! Yes, this is the game that got all the publicity a while back. Still a good game though.
